how to reset waste ink counter canon pixma ix5000 and ix4000

To reset counter Canon PIXMA iX4000 or iX5000 you have to enter to service mode. Procedure to enter to service mode on Canon PIXMA iX4000 or iX5000 is as following :

Connect the Canon PIXMA iX5000 or iX4000 printer to the power cord. ( note : If the automatic power-on function is enabled in the printer, the printer enters the service mode for the first time, but it will never enter the service mode if the printer is turned off by the Power button. This is because the printer remains to be turned on internally if the power is turned off by the Power button. To prevent this, disconnection of the power cord is required before starting the printer in the service mode ) .

With the Canon PIXMA iX5000 or iX4000 printer powered off, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the Power button. (note : Don’t release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

While holding the Power button, release Resume/Cancel button. (Don’t release the Power button.)

While holding the Power button, press Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and then release both the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons.

When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times to reset waste ink counter in the Canon Pixma iX5000 / iX4000. (note : If the Power LED does not light in green the printer does not enter the service mode, disconnect the power cord and plug it again. Then start from step 1 to start the printer in the service mode again).

At the end of the service mode, press the Power button. The paper lifting plate of the sheet feed unit will be raised.

Note :
Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.

Other specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below :

Epson L200 is an All-In-One printer, All-In-One printer is a printer unit has multiple function as Scanning, Photocopying, and printing.

Epson L200 comes with 6 ink bottle consist of 3 Black Ink, and colored ink, 1 bottle for Cyan, 1 bottle for Magenta, and 1 bottle for Yellow Colors. This set of inks can yield approximately 18,000 pages for black and 6,500 pages of colored print.

To check whether the counter value has been successfully reset , press the Check button , Main pad counter value should be changed to 0 % . Click Finish to exit .

Epson R200 R210 R300 R310 Waste Ink Counter Pad Reset

Here is how to reset the waste counter for the Epson R200, R210, R300 and R310 printers.

Press and hold “Stop”, “Maintenance”, and “Power” buttons for about 10 seconds. A message will come on the screen saying counter is reset and to turn the printer off. The R200 and others don’t have a screen so just wait until the 10 seconds is up.
Turn the printer off, unplug the power cord. Wait about 1 minute and power the printer back up. The counter will be reset. That’s all there is to the reset procedure.

Is the waste pad full ?

If the waste pad is actually full and ink is about to overflow, then you need to install a waste container. You can see the waste pad by opening the access panel on the back of the printer.

Changing the waste pad requires almost complete disassembly of the printer, it is a big job. There is an easier way.

Open the access panel on the rear of the printer (remove screw) and look inside carefullly with a flashlight. You will see a tube (down and to your left) coming from the cleaning pump and it will have an open end on it. This is the tube that delivers ink to the waste pad.

Use a piece of coathanger wire or equivalent, and fish out this piece of tube. Bring it to the outside of the printer, thru the access panel.

Find yourself a suitable container (Tupperware or a plastic cup or jar) that is not too tall. Put the tube into this container and secure the tube and container so they won’t come apart or lose connection if the printer is moved.

If you wish you can make a hole or notch in the access panel cover so it can be replaced.

Now the ink will go into this container and not into the waste pad inside the printer. If it gets full, dump it.

How To Reset Canon IP 2770 Ink Pad

Canon IP 2770, the printer is cheap, only 14 $ US you can buy it.
But, sometimes, people prefer to inject this printer, in order to give more time to refill the ink.

You can inject this printer by this steps :

Buy tools, such as ink tank, ink hose, and plastic glue.
You make a hole in the cartridge (3 mili meters).
Connect hose, ink tank and catridge.
And finnaly fill ink tank with ink.

But, injecting this printer, make the ink tank full quickly than a printer without injection.
If the ink pad or absorber is full, you wont can printing anything.
The indication in the printer is blinking green and orange alternately..

But dont worry, I have a solution to solve that problem.
First you will need a resetter.
You can download the resetter by clicking link below :

And you must reset the printer in service mode.

This is the steps how to come to service mode :

Push the reset button on your printer about 2 seconds, and then push the power button, so, now you push that two button.
Release your finger at reset button, so, now you only push the power button.
In condition you push power button, dont release it. And push the reset button six times.
Now, you in service mode.
The indication is, appear found new device at your monitor.

Then, now the times you reset the ink pad or ink absober at your printer.

Extract the downloaded resetter and Open the resetter.
Click EEPROM button, and please wait until the proccess is completed, if the proccess is completed your printer should print automatically, and appear an information if the proccess was completed.
Then, Click Cleaning button, and wait until appear an information that cleaning proccess is completed.
In pannel Clear Ink Counter, Click set, and please wait until appear an information that the function was completely finished.
Finnaly, click set button in pannel Ink Absorber Counter. And please wait until completely finish.
If all of steps 1 until 5 have done, look at your printer LED indication, it will becomes green again.

How to Overcome Print results striped and the ink does not come out

How to cope with a striped print results, or even worse, the ink can not get out. This condition often occurs due to a lack of attention to the printer head. Negligence in caring for and maintaining the printer Inkjet printers in particular can cause damage to the printer head is a temporary or permanent basis.

For how to fix or overcome , the first thing we can do is clean the printer head . For how to clean it , Remove the cartridge from the printer head and printer , remove the ink cartridge from the head . Do not touch the electronic circuits that exist around the head of the printer, as this may cause damage to the electronics rangkainan . Use head cleaning fluid to remove ink former frozen and dried , it is most likely the main cause of ink can not be out at the time of printing .If you do not have a printer head cleaning fluid try using the following tips :

1. Take hot water , pour in a bowl .

2. Dip the tip of the head to the hot water in the bowl .

Pay attention not to touch the water existing electronic circuits around the head so can cause damage .

3. Shake the print head to the ink that is in the head melt .

4. Repeat step dyeing ( 4 to 6 ) above with a new hot water until the water remains clear

hot new ( not contaminated ink out of the head ) .

5. Dry the print head with a soft cloth until it is completely dry .

Replace the printer head and cartridge into the printer and try to print . If you have done the steps of cleaning the printer head as above but the result remains the same , the possibility of blockage occur until the ink distribution pipe . When this happens , try steaming nozzle head with steam to about ink that is in the pipeline to melt , then repeat the head cleaning steps as above . How to Disabling Low Ink Level Notification for Canon IP and MP

The reset method work for canon printers that using PG-40 and CL-41 cartridge. After doing this reset method canon printer will not display low ink notification anymore and will not show error code ”E4? or ”E5?. This method takes from indoreset yahoo group and prepared by Choy.

Here How to Disabling Low Ink Level Notification for Canon IP and MP, the method to reset ink level notification :

Push ”resume“ for 5 seconds for canon IPXXXX. For canon MPXXX you must enter to service mode.
Push Power switch then remove power cord.
Insert plug power cord while pressing ”power switch“ at the same time.
Push Start/reset by step 2 continue Wait display shown ”0?
Push + change display from ”0? to ”1?
Push color button 2 times
Push Power switch again , Printer will print 1 page
Open cover
Unplug power cord
Take out ink cartridge #40 and #41
Insert plug again

Enter to service mode for canon MPXXX

With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding the Reset button.
When the Power is lit, press the Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
When releasing the Power button and the Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)

Tekan dan Tahan tombol STOP/RESET diikuti dengan menekan Tombol POWER. Jadi kedua tombol posisi tertekan.
Lepas tombol STOP/RESET tapi jangan lepas tombol POWER.
Dalam keadaan tombol POWER masih tertekan, tekan tombol STOP/RESET sebanyak 6 kali.
Kemudian lepaskan kedua tombol bersamaan. Maka Canon Canon MP237 akan berada dalam kondisi Service Mode.
LCD Panel Canon MP237 akan blank / gelap dan di komputer anda akan mendeteksi hardware baru. Abaikan saja ...
Anda masih bersama ekohasan blog, Langkah selanjutnya Exctract dan Jalankan Service Tool 3400 hasil download anda tadi.
Di menu absorber Clear ink counter pilih Main kemudian klik SET di sebelah kanannya.
Di menu ink absorber counter pilih Main kemudian klik SET di sebelah kanannya.
Kemudian klik EEOPROM. maka printer akan cetak 1 halaman.
Printer Canon Canon MP237 yang error P07 / E08 akan normal kembali.

Hanya saja setelah kedua office itu diinstal, timbul masalah, yaitu loading yang lama ketika kita ingin membuka Word 2003 setelah kita membuka word 2007, atau sebaliknya. nah hal ini bisa kita atasi dengan menambah kode di regedit-nya windows..

Nah gini caranya :
Setelah office 2003 dan 2007 terinstal, klik Start, RUN. Pada kotak dialog Run yang muncul,

ketikan perintah berikut ini:

How to Reset Epson C110 Waste Ink Counter

Reset procedure for Epson C110 almost the same as reset Epson C90 or Epson C79. Date setting must be used in the PC for software resetter Epson C110 is 11 April 2008.

Before run resetter for epson c110, change date setting in your computer to run adjustment program for Epson C110 without error, its way :

Click Start then select Control Panel. In control panel windows appears select date and time (classis view). If control panel in your computer is category view select “date, time, language, and regional setting” then select date and time, or to open date and time setting quickly double click the clock in the system tray (systray).
Then change date setting in the computer to to 11 April 2008

Click Initialization button to reset waste ink counter pad to 0 then click Finish.
Turn the printer off the turn on again.
Once the process the printer should be normal again.

Solution to reset the ink level for Canon MX300. The methode get from printer forum

Disconnect the power cable
Connect it while holding down the power button
With the power button still down, press twice the "Cancel/Stop" red button
Release the power button
The printes turns into a kind of factory mode...(wait for about 10 seconds, utils it says "Idle")
Press the ">" (next to the "OK" button) once."Shipping Mode 3"
Press the "OK" button.
Press "OK" again for "Without cleaning"
A test page will print..
Open the cover, like you are about to change the cartridges.
Disconnect the power cable again.
Take out both cartridges.
Close the cover.
Connect the power cable once again.
Turn the printer on.
Now just put the cartridges back

How to Clear the Canon Check Ink 1686 and 1688 Error Messages

The Canon “Check Ink 1686? and “Check Ink 1688? are low ink warnings used by an entire series of inkjet printers that take the PG-540, PG-540XL, CL-541 and CL-541XL ink cartridges. Canons official text used to describe the error states “The ink may have run out” (Check Ink 1686) and “The ink has run out” (Check Ink 1688). Whatever error you are receiving your printer will stop when it believes the cartridge is empty and refuse to print without intervention from you. There is however a way you can carry on printing as we will discuss below…

Why am I getting this message?

If you have just installed a new remanufactured cartridge or have just refilled your own cartridge, you may be surprised to see this error message so quickly. This is due to the fact that these Canon printers have no way of looking inside the cartridge or detecting fresh ink. Instead the cartridge just monitors how many pages have been printed and the average page coverage since it was first installed into a printer. From this information your printer estimates the ink level of the cartridge and when it believes the ink cartridge is running low/empty will present you with the “Check Ink” 1686 or 1688 message. As a result of this way of estimating ink levels, even an original Canon ink cartridge will almost certainly have some ink left when your printer warns you it is empty.

Can I get around this error message?

Indeed you can and it is exceptionally easy. This series of Canon printers allows you to continue printing with a single button press and will usually give this prompt in a fairly sizable message once it detects that the cartridge may be empty. Simply hold down your printers STOP/RESET/RESUME button for five seconds and then release. Whilst the name with which the button is referred to may change, the symbol it is represented with will always remain the same.

As shown above the symbol that represents the RESUME button is an upside-down triangle in a circle. It may be grey, pink or even red in appearance depending upon the model of your printer. Holding down this button for five seconds indicates to your printer that you are aware of this low/empty cartridge estimate but would like to continue printing regardless. From here the ink level will still read as being low, but you can continue printing with this cartridge until the ink physically runs out and the quality of the prints deteriorates as a result.

Is there any risk in doing this?

None at all. The continued use of any physically empty cartridge can result in the printhead of the cartridge burning out. However as long as you keep an eye on the print quality produced by the cartridge you can negate the risk of potential damage, leaving you free to refill or recycle the empty cartridge as you see fit. In the worst case scenario that you don’t notice the ink having run out and end up burning out your printhead, you can simply replace the cartridge for a new one with no damage having been sustained by your printer.

How to reset waste ink pad on Canon Pixma MP280

Error P07 means the waste ink counter is full.

Solution 1:

First, download the Service Tool V1074.

Turn off the printer
Hold down the "stop/reset" and press the "power" button without release it.
Release the "stop/reset".
Press the "stop/reset" button six times and release the two buttons.
The printer is now in service mode.
Extract the Service tool and the file to open service tool page
Find the "clear ink counter" section and click on the "main" button.
Scroll down to find "ink absorber counter" on the left and to the right of that "counter value".
Ink absorber counter box should read "main" and counter value reads "0".
Click the set button to the right of the counter value box.
The printer will now make some noise and will print a page of paper,

Epson Stylus Color 500 Ink Level Monitor Incorrect

Perform a Factory Reset and a Cartridge RESEAT to reset theink counters and enable it to put ink on the paper. Make sure the ink cartridges are installed in the printer.

Factory Reset STYLUS COLOR 500 :

Shut printer off. Disconnect parallel printer cable at rear of printer.
Hold down the all three buttons (Load button, Black Cleaning button, and Color Cleaning buttons) while powering on the printer (continue holding for approx. (1) one second and release).
Then within one second
Hold down the Load/Eject button for (2) two seconds only.
Release Load/Eject; the complete sequence must be done within (3) three seconds.

Note : factory reset will reset both ink counters and other ink cartridge may not register out of ink, out of ink light may not flash or turn on.

There is no other way to correct your situation so you will need to monitor the other ink level and change it if poor color quality cannot be corrected by cleaning cycles.

Reseat the Ink Cartridge COLOR 500 :

Pause the printer, hold down the Load/Eject button for 6 seconds; power light will blink.
The print head will move to left to cartridge installation position.
Lift the Gray Clamp that holds the ink cartridge all the way open then clamp it back down "Make sure you not take ink cartridge out"
Once the clamp is closed, press and release the Load/Eject button to recharge the Ink Delivery system (takes about 2 minutes).
