While you’re installing your printer software, you’ll see this window :
If this window remains on your screen for a few minutes, your installation program may have stopped responding.

To release the installation program, follow these steps :

1. On your keyboard, hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys, then press the Delete key. You see a window like this:
2. Click the E_srcv02 program to highlight it (you may need to scroll down).
3. Click the End Task button to close the program.(If you see a screen confirming the end of the task, click End Task again.)
4. Restart your system.
5. Your printer should now be able to print, but for the best operation, we recommend that you download and install a new version of the EPSON Status Monitor 3 utility from the EPSON web site.

Go to the EPSON Downloads page, then select Status Monitor 3 for your version of Windows and install it as instructed.

Note :
Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children and do not drink the ink. If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets in your eyes, flush them thoroughly with water.

1. Make sure the printer is on. The power light should be on, but not flashing.
2. Lower the output tray, then open the printer cover.
3. Press and hold the ink cartridge replacement button until the print head begins to move. The print head will move to the center (the ink cartridge replacement position) and the power light will begin to flash. Caution: Do not move the print head by hand, as this may damage the printer. Always press the ink replacement button to move it.
4. For each ink cartridge you need to replace, push back the release tab and lift up the ink cartridge clamp as far as it will go (the color cartridge is shown in the example below). The cartridge rises partly out of the cartridge holder. Lift the cartridge out of the printer and dispose of it properly.
5. For each ink cartridge you need to replace, remove the new ink cartridge from its protective bag and then remove only the yellow tape seal from the cartridge. Do not remove the blue portion of the tape seal from the top of the cartridge, do not remove the tape seal from the bottom of the cartridge and do not touch the green IC chip on the side of the cartridge.
6. For each ink cartridge you need to replace, insert the new ink cartridge into its holder. (Caution:
   When you insert an ink cartridge, make sure you align the tabs on the ink cartridge so that they are resting on top of the tabs protruding from the base of the opened ink cartridge clamp. If the ink cartridge tabs are under the ink cartridge clamp tabs (as shown in the color cartridge example below), you could damage the clamp when you try to close it)
7. When you have the tabs properly aligned, close the ink cartridge clamp (or clamps if you replaced both ink cartridges).
8. Press the ink cartridge replacement button again (you dont have to hold it this time). The printer moves the print head and begins charging the ink delivery system. This process takes about one minute to complete. When the ink charging process is finished, the printer returns the print head to its home position on the far right, the power light stops flashing and remains on, and the error light goes out.
9. Close the printer cover.

Caution:
Never turn off the printer while the power light is flashing, unless the printer hasnt moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.
