If we encounter flickering desktop icons in a laptop and noticed that some keys does not function is a sign that we might have a bad keyboard. To check, or eliminate that desktop icon from flickering, try to remove the keyboard and use an external USB keyboard instead. If it resolves the problem, then we need to replace defective keyboard with a new one. Removing keyboard for this (eM350 series) netbook should not be complicated.

Image below shows how to completely remove laptop keyboard. This illustration is applied to eM350 series. All we need is just a flat screw driver or solid thin object enough to lift up the keyboard. Just locate those points (step 1) and lift it up one by one slightly until completely unlocked. Pull the keyboard (Step 2) upward and disconnect the keyboard cable from connector (step 3) by pushing slightly that retainer (2 red arrows) pointed at the cable connector where the cable is connected. Step 4 shows where we end up.

Placing the new keyboard should start from the last back to the first step.
