How to make Tempe
Did you know that TEMPE is originally made in Indonesia. Tempe can be made for many food.
There are many wealth that Indonesia has. Such as batik, cultural song, cultural food and cultural house type.
Right now, I want to write an articel, titled "How to make tempe".
As you now, tempe is delicious. But How to make it. Cant you make it ?
Okey here you are the steps to make tempe.
Ingredients :
- Soybean. Soybean is the main ingredient to make tempe.
- Yeast for tempe. There are many shop in Indonesia that sell this yeast. Or pure culture of Rhizopus sp.
- Cormorant.
- Mixer from wood.
- Clean the soybean, sometimes if you buy soybean, it contains old corn. So you must separate the corn and the soybean and clean it.
- If the soybean is washed and cleaned, then soak it at 10 hour until 16 hour with fresh water.
- Then, peel soybeans seed coat.And rinse with water.
- Then boil it until soft.
- Then, after soybean feel soft. Pour it in the clean place, its better to pour in
the hiegine place made from wood. - Sow yeast to that soybean. 1.5 grams yeast for 2 kilograms soybean.
- Prepare plastic. Or bananas leaf. As wrapper.
- If you wrapp it with plastic, you must make holes on that plastic.
- Put in soybean that has leavened to the wrapper.
- The fermentation of this soybean spend two days or until all of soybeans surface covered by mushrooms In the room temperature.
- The clenest tool make the fermentation work faster, and the warmest temperature make the fermentation work faster.
